Tashakori Hashemi Participated in China-Iran forum for global economic and trade cooperation

China can be a strategic and reliable partner to achieve Tehran goals and solve problems

Seyyed Jafar Tashakori Hashemi, Chairman of the Construction and Transportation Commission of the Islamic City Council of Tehran participated in China-Iran forum for global economic and trade cooperation on 17th October 2023. He stated that to improve the quality of life of Tehran citizens, several programs have been planned and China can be a strategic and reliable partner for Tehran to realize these goals and plans. Accordingly, we are interested in using China"s successful experiences for combating air pollution, traffic and urban infrastructure.

The Chairman of the Construction and Transportation Commission of Tehran Islamic City Council said: "The initiative of the Belt and Road Conference by Chinese President Xi Jinping is a valuable opportunity for the development of economic, social, cultural and political cooperation between the countries of the region, and we hope that Iran will play an effective role in this corridor and become an important partner in the sea in sea and land.

Referring to the cooperation that Tehran and Chongqing can have, the councilor said: development of metro, bus, electrification of city buses, taxis, motorcycles and scooters, supply of wagons, completion of the network Roads, including bridges and tunnels, completing the surface water network, making the city smarter, especially in urban transportation, mass housing, building hotels, building recreational complexes, cooperation in the field of waste and environmental issues, cooperation in tourism and sharing experiences in the field of various urban issues is one of the cooperation axes.

He stated: Tehran Municipality, as a non-governmental public institution, welcomes Chinese investors with priority for the implementation of its projects and thinks about long-term cooperation with a win-win approach, and in this regard, it ensures profitable investment for investors.

Tashakori Hashemi stated: Tehran City Council is a supporter of municipal programs and invites China to visit Tehran and its investment capacities.

It is worth mentioning that China-Iran forum for global economic and trade cooperation was organized by the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade (CCPIT) and the Asian Mayors Forum (AMF).
